The Use of Drama in the Classroom

Drama is a valuable tool for a teacher. By knowing and understanding the benefits of using Drama in the classroom, a teacher can increase student learning capabilities and enjoyment. The beauty of the Dramatic Arts is that it is an individual experience but it can be shared. It stimulates the senses and feeds the imagination. All learners of all ages need a personalized experience. Drama can help to provide that.

Writing Paragraph

It is very hard for many of our students to write a paragraph in English. They find it is a difficult thing to do. They do not only have to concentrate on the vocabulary, grammar, but also on the organization of their ideas. We teachers can help them giving them some steps to make it easier. In this  workshop we will learn how to do it.

"Grammar" the Big Elephant in the Primary Classroom: Effective techniques, games and more!

How do young learners acquire grammar understanding and accuracy? "With difficulty" is the common short answer. Gap-filling, multiple choice, word-order< exercises help students analyse and practice grammatical forms while grammar drills, dialogues, songs and games help them absorb the language without pausing for too long to analyse it. In this workshop we will discuss and apply several techniques to present grammar in the primary EFL classroom and motivate children to use it effectively.

"CONQUERING THE FEAR OF SPEAKING"

Speaking is "the process of building and sharing meaning through the use of verbal and non-verbal symbols, in a variety of contexts". Speaking is a crucial part of second  language learning and teaching. For many years, English language teachers have continued to teach speaking just as a repetition of drills or memorization of dialogues. However, today's world requires that the goal of teaching speaking should improve students' communicative skills, because, only in that way, students can express themselves and learn how to follow the social and cultural rules appropriate in each communicative circumstance. In this session we will give teachers some strategies in order to teach second language learners how to speak in the best way pos
